Happy ShopaHAULic Saturday! I have been buying a lot of makeup and skincare products lately, but haven’t gotten the chance to share them with you yet. But I don’t want to just pile them up, take photos, and share it just like that. So for today, I am sharing with you these items from Revlon (which seems to be really promising), Bioderma and Asian Beauty Brands, Laneige and K-Palette.
ULTRA HD LIPSTICKS
The Revlon sales lady called out to me when I passed by their counter at Robinsons Manila. She asked me if I’ve already tried these Ultra HD Lipsticks. I was actually not really interested because I’ve been very much happy with my new Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks. But she told me to try and swatch them on my arm first. She knows that I only swatch lipsticks on my arm. 🙂
So, I did. I was surprised at how creamy these lipsticks were. I would have bought all the available colors if I could. But I only settled for four shades, for now. Hydrangea, Poinsettia, Iris and Gladiolus. I would test them out more before I share my thoughts on them. But if you are also currently in Manila, they are being sold at an introductory price of Php575, and they even offer discounts on their other products if you purchase at least one of the Ultra HD lipsticks.
I’ve been using Bioderma Sensibio H2O which I bought a few weeks back, and had been really happy with it. I just haven’t had the time to post my review on it yet. But since I only bought the smallest bottle, it’s almost empty already. So when I dropped by The SM Store last week, I bought the other variant, Bioderma Sebium H20, which is designed for combination/oily skin. I’m hoping that it would also work well on my skin. I have already tried it a few times this week, and so far so good.
But more on that in my detailed review. Its price is also Php650 for a mere 100ml bottle. But if it really works great, then it’s definitely worth the price. Although, next time I might buy it from the US instead, where it’s much cheaper. I have checked the price of Sebium H20 at Amazon.com and it’s way cheaper than the local prices here. A 500ml bottle which has 5 times more amount than the one I bought is being sold for only $27.50 (around Php1240). That’s a lot of savings! 😀
ASIAN BEAUTY BRANDS
K-SECRET CUSHION TINT
My husband and I dropped by Laneige earlier this week not because I wanted to buy something for myself. It was actually because he needed to repurchase his moisturizer and cleanser. His favorite skincare is Laneige Homme (he’s also a fan of Korean brands, lol!). He’s also been using BB cream, Laneige Homme Sun BB, which I have talked him into buying a couple of weeks ago. But that’s the only makeup I’ll ever let him use. I don’t want him to use eyeliners and other makeup items which are intended to be used by women. At least his BB cream had been made specially for men. 😀
Anyways, because we were already at the Laneige store, I checked out what new stuff they have available. And I found these K-Secret Cushion Tints! I’m not sure how long it had already been available, but who cares? I immediately swatched all the shades on my arm, and decided to get the shade that called out to me most, Joy Pink. It would be an awesome lip color for both gradation lips and full coverage. I also love the cushiony sponge tip it comes with. I feel like it would be a great tool to blend the lip color with.
It was also a pretty good buy because it only costs Php750. Well, if you compare it with other Korean beauty brands, it is a bit pricey. But Laneige is owned by Amore Pacific which is one of the high-end Korean brands, so I kind of expected the price to be higher than brands like Etude House, Tony Moly or The Face Shop.
Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pencil 24h (101 Light Brown)
Real Lasting Eyebrow Mascara (102 Natural Brown)
K-Palette is one of my favorite Japanese beauty brands. I am so in love with their products because they really deliver on their promise of being long lasting. I just recently finished up my tube of K-Palette 1Day Lash Perm Mascara (waterproof), and wanted to repurchase it. The other K-Palette mascara I have is not waterproof and it smudges on me. But when I went to the counter last week, the waterproof mascara was out of stock. 🙁
The sales lady then asked me if I want to purchase their Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pencil 24h instead. I told her I still haven’t finished up my tube of Lasting 2Way Eyebrow, which has a liquid liner at one end and powder at the other end. But she insisted that I try it. So, I did. And got convinced to buy it.
Then, she tried the Real Lasting Eyebrow Mascara on me. I haven’t bought any brow mascara from the brand before, and was surprised at how cute the wand applicator is. It looks like a really small hair brush, lol! I will show more pictures of it when I post the full review.
Anyways, I ended up buying both products. The Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pencil 24h costs Php795 and I got it in the Light Brown (101) shade. For The Real Lasting Eyebrow Mascara, I got the shade 102 Natural Brown and it costs only Php595. I bought them both from the Beauty Bar at Mall of Asia. That day, I also ended up buying some other stuff from the store, but I will share it another day. 😉
I’ll be reviewing these products in the coming days, so keep checking my blog everyday. Have a wonderful weekend and as always, have fun shopping! <3 What makeup products are in your shopping cart? What items are currently on your wish list? Do you also like these items from my makeup haul?
