Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in 005 Parisian Passion and 010 LA Exclusive are pigmented like a lipstick yet glossy and shiny like a lipgloss. Add in the moisture factor, and these lip stains are a great addition to anyone’s makeup bag.
It’s not a Savvy Sunday for me today, but more like a Sorry Sunday. I haven’t really been feeling well, and had been sleeping it off since morning, waking up only to eat (however sick I am, this is one thing that I don’t skip lol) and then crawling back to bed again. I didn’t want to skip this post, but I just couldn’t take a decent picture of myself – even with makeup, I still look haggard and sick. 🙁
These Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains have been available for quite some time now, but it had only been recently that I noticed them in the Revlon counter.
Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain is a virtually weightless, creamy and moiturizing stain. Drenches lips in glossy wet color and creamy moisture with vitamin E & Aloe. 88% of women felt lips were instantly hydrated without stickiness.
The creamy, non-sticky Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain is a fusion between a lipstick, lipgloss and lip stain. The colors I have tried all feel very light on my lips and are not tacky nor sticky. The finish is shiny but is not extremely glossy.
REVLON COLORSTAY MOISTURE STAIN
005 Parisian Passion
As it is a sort of liquid and lipstick hybrid, the texture does resemble that of a creamy gloss. Parisian Passion is very easy to apply, but a lip liner would be necessary if you are prone to feathering. It lasts around 3 to 4 hours on my lips, and leaves only a bit of stain so reapplication would definitely be needed after eating and drinking.
The closest color that I have is NARS Audacious Vera, and when I tried to top it with Revlon Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion, I kind of liked the combination. (See photo above)
REVLON COLORSTAY MOISTURE STAIN
010 LA Exclusive
LA Exclusive is a light, cool-toned pink that is also sheer when applied, but can be built up for more coverage. It would be important to exfoliate the lips first before applying it as it can accentuate dry flakes.
LA Exclusive is also fairly easy to apply and the texture is pretty creamy. It only lasts around 2 to 3 hours on my lips, and leaves no stain at all. After eating and drinking, LA Exclusive would have to be reapplied.
I don’t have anything in my current makeup collection that is similar to LA Exclusive. I tried to apply it on top of NARS Audacious Marisa, and the combination is good, although it doesn’t really have that wow factor. (See photo above)

• Exfoliate lips and apply lip balm with sun protection (for daytime use).
• Line your lips with your preferred lip liner as desired.
• Apply Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain evenly to clean, well-exfoliated and prepped lips.
• If you want a full coverage, opaque color, the stains can easily be built up.
I bought Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains in Parisian Passion and LA Exclusive from The SM Store for Php625 and I think that they’re not so bad, but would be better if they were sold at a cheaper price. However, there is one thing that I didn’t like, which was the applicator, because it feels a bit gooey and its shape and angle is a bit weird for me. These are also available in some of the leading drugstores in other countries, so be sure to check them out if you like these moisture stains.
