As it’s another ShopaHAULic Saturday, it means that I get to share my latest makeup haul. This week, it’s all Chanel, and because there’s already a number of products that I bought from Chanel, I will not be including my Korean cosmetics haul. I’m sorry Korean makeup addicts, even though I had bought stuff from Etude House, I will just share them another day.
CHANEL HOLIDAY 2014 COLLECTION
Plumes Precieuses De Chanel
In my last Chanel makeup haul which I’ve posted earlier this month, I didn’t buy the star of the collection, Camelia de Plumes Highlighting Powder (reviewed here), because the Chanel counter didn’t have a tester for it yet, and I didn’t want to buy it without swatching first. Last Saturday, though, when I went back to the counter to check it again, they still didn’t have a tester, but I just couldn’t take it anymore, so I had bought it without having to try it first.
The other item from the Plumes Precieuses de Chanel collection I bought this week is the Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner in Or Blanc. Because of my positive experiences with the last Stylo Yeux eyeliners I’ve bought, I am hopeful that Or Blanc would be very smooth and creamy to apply as well. This I have yet to find out, so watch out for my full review. 🙂
CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE GLOSS COLLECTION
The Chanel Rouge Allure Glosses in Affriolant (reviewed here) and Seduction (reviewed here) were first on my list but I ended up buying other shades instead. Now I finally got my hands on them, and also bought Supreme along them.
I also got Le Vernis Pirate (reviewed here) and Rouge Allure Pirate lipstick (reviewed here) to replace the ones I had given away. Le Vernis Tutti Frutti was also repromoted in this collection (although I’m pretty sure it was not a Limited Edition) so I also bought it.
CHANEL NO. 5
The Loose Powder and Eau Premiere Spray
Ever since I saw Sunny’s post regarding the new Chanel No. 5 collection, I had been wanting to check them out. But I know that it will take a while before it becomes available in Manila, so I didn’t bother adding them to my wish list.
But, (yeah there’s always a but, lol) when I went to the Chanel counter last Saturday, I overheard a Korean couple asking one of the SAs about the No. 5 body cream. My eyes lit up and I asked my favorite SA if they do have it already. She immediately went to get them for me and laid them all in front of me, The Loose Powder, the Body Cream and Eau Premiere, even adding the body lotion which was not a new release.
I tried to resist the urge since they were not on my list, but found it really hard especially since they’re already right there in front of me. So I ended up buying the No. 5 Loose Powder and No. 5 Eau Premiere. I had already sold away my Coco Noir, but still have a bottle of both Chanel Chance and Coco Mademoiselle to finish, and now this. I guess I’ll have to spray away every hour or so just to use them all up. 😀
CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE
Rose Initiale Blush
I had been wanting to buy the Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Initiale (reviewed here) since it was released two years ago, but during those times, I was still head over heels in love with my Chanel JC Pink Explosion blush. It was the only blush in my makeup collection that I really ever use, so I could not allow myself to buy yet another one that I’m not sure I’ll use anyway. This changed after a few months, but I had completely forgotten about Rose Initiale blush. It was only last Saturday that I saw it again in the counter, didn’t think twice, and went ahead and bought it.
CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES EYESHADOW QUAD
Trying so hard not to buy the eyeshadow palette from the Holiday Collection, I ended up buying Les 4 Ombres Quad Eyeshadow in Le Venetien. I don’t have much to say about this as it was an impulsive buy. Hopefully, when I review it, I’ll have a lot of good things to say about it. 🙂
I am hoping that this would be my last Chanel haul this year and that I could wait until Spring before I ever set foot on the Chanel counter again. But who knows? A shopaholic like me would know that this is next to impossible! Lol!
How about you? What are your latest makeup finds? Did you also grab anything from the Chanel Holiday and Rouge Allure Gloss collections?
