MAC Wash and Dry Makeup Haul

It’s another ShopaHAULic Saturday! I’m so excited with my recent MAC Wash and Dry Makeup Haul.

I already ordered some of these items from Nordstrom, but I couldn’t wait for the package to arrive. So when I found out that the collection is already available at my local MAC counter, I went there without hesitation.

I’m so glad that I did because I was able to buy the highlighting powder which was already sold out at Nordstrom. The other items I bought were backup. I love the design of this collection because it looks so cheerful. Therefore, backup-worthy in my opinion.

MAC Wash and Dry Makeup Haul

Two items in this haul are not from the MAC Wash & Dry Collection, which you’ve probably already noticed in the photos. They are the only boxes that are not colorful. 🙂

One is the MAC Huggable Lipcolour in Play It Soft. It is classified as a bright coral red with a creamy gel formula. This moisturizing lipstick with a rich, glossy shine boosts collagen, leaving lips looking soft, smooth and supple. It promises to stay luminous for up to six hours.

The other item is the MAC Prep+Prime Skin Refined Zone. It’s a light, oil-free emulsion that helps cloak visible pores while controlling oil and shine. I actually bought this for my husband so he can use it on days when he’s not wearing BB cream. Yeah, he likes using BB cream just like the Koreans do! I still couldn’t get him to try on eyeliners, though. 😉

The highlight of this collection for me is the Highlight Powder in Freshen Up. I had been devastated when I found out that it was already sold out at both Nordstrom and Macy’s. It’s a good thing that I was able to buy it when the collection became available locally. The three shades in Freshen Up are mid-coral, fuzzy peach and pastel banana.

Another item that I didn’t order from Nordstrom is the Wash & Dry Powder Blush in Hipness. I thought that it was just another peachy blush that I don’t think I need in my collection. But when I saw it and swatched at the counter, I changed my mind. It was a beautiful light peach with fine golden shimmers and a frost finish. It’s also quite pigmented, so a little goes a long way.

From the four Wash & Dry lipsticks, I chose Morange and Steam Heat. Morange is a vivid orange with an Amplified Creme formula and Steam Heat is a vivid yellow red with a satin finish.

I also bought two of the four Wash & Dry Lipglass shades. Girl On Board is a light creme nude, while Domestic Diva is a frosty, watery pink.

The new Wash & Dry Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow Trio appealed to me, but I didn’t want to get all the three shades in the range. So I ended up getting only one. The colors in Permanent Press are white beige, brown bronze and black with gold pearls.

I also bought two items from the MAC Wash & Dry: The Modern Brow Collection.

One is the MAC Wash & Dry Studio Sculpt Defining Bronzing Powder in Delicates. It is a neutral deep bronze with fine golden shimmer. This is silky matte but has a luminous finish. I love that it’s packaging comes with a mirror which is very handy for touch-ups.

The other item I bought from this collection is the MAC 125 Split Fibre Dense Face Brush. Half of the brush is natural while the other half is made of synthetic fibres. I think that this will work perfectly with both the highlighting powder and the Studio Sculpt Defining Bronzing Powder.
