I just love MAC eyeshadows because the packaging is so cute and adorable. I used to collect the single eyeshadows, but stopped doing so years ago because they were just collecting dust on my dresser. Now that I’ve been using eyeshadows again, I want to try out the Mineralize Eyeshadows first before I get addicted to collecting the singles again. I have already tried both In the Groove and Blue My Mind Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio way back. But that time, I didn’t really know how to apply eyeshadows yet.
MAC MINERALIZE EYESHADOW QUAD
Baked minerals refined into a powder formula provide an exceptionally sheer and lightweight application.
Four coordinating Eye Shadow shades baked together in a single pan. A brilliant way to experience Mineralize’s unique properties: remarkably blendable pre-coordinated colours, sheer lightweight application and a pearlized finish with a soft shimmer, all in a new, modern package.
MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad Bronze Assets contains 4 light shades that are perfect for those who want just a light eye makeup and for those who are just starting to wear eyeshadows. Even the darkest shade in the quad is still not so dark, so this is a great color combination to use when practicing your smokey eye makeup.
The first shade (leftmost in the photo swatches) is a very light, cool-toned beige which looks almost silvery-white on my arm. It has a satin finish with a beautiful sheen making it perfect for highlighting the brow bone area.
The next shade is a light champagne with lots of shimmers. This would be great as a highlighter to the center of the eyelids. Just be really careful to tap the eyeshadow brush well before applying this shade or it will cause lots of fallout.
The third shade is a gorgeous coppery bronze with lots of shimmers as well. It can be used alone for a wash of shimmery color on the entire lid or also as a highlight to the center of the lids. Remember to tap, tap, tap the brush before applying to minimize fallouts.
The last and the darkest among the four shades is a cool-toned, medium brown that looks almost eggplant than taupe in the arm swatch. It also has some micro shimmers, but this translates into a beautiful sheen when applied.
MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad Bronze Assets is so versatile as the colors can be used as a light base to other eye makeup, as a highlight to the brow bone area, to the center of the lids or to the inner eye corner, or simply as a shimmery wash of color. Definitely a must-have eyeshadow, at least for me! 😀
The color can be built up layer after layer, but the finish is still light to medium coverage. The texture of MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad Bronze Assets is buttery-soft, especially the lightest and the darkest shades. All the colors apply smoothly and do not clump nor crease. However, they only last around 4 to 5 hours on my oily lids. 🙁
I bought MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad Bronze Assets for PhP 1,400 from MAC in Mall of Asia. The price is not so bad considering you get 4 colors for a little more than the price of 1. It is a part of the Permanent collection, so if you’re planning on buying this really awesome eyeshadow, you have a lot of time to do so! In the US where it’s called MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Pinwheel, this shade is not available, but you can check the other available shades like this which gives a similar effect.
MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad Bronze Assets is a great eyeshadow for everyday use. If you want to look fab even on days when you’re just running on errands, then this is the eyeshadow to use! 😉
Have you tried any of the MAC Mineralize eyeshadows? What do you think about their quads? How about Bronze Assets? Do share your thoughts!
