Chanel had released Les Intemporels De Chanel Collection, which is a mini collection for Spring 2015. There are only 2 Limited Edition items in this collection but both are worth looking at.
LES INTEMPORELS DE CHANEL COLLECTION
Gabrielle Chanel created the 2.55 bag, iconic to the House of Chanel, in February 1955. Inspired by the leather-braided chain of the 2.55, the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio debuts a limited-edition collection firmly anchored in the codes of the House. Exclusive Creation L’INTEMPOREL DE CHANEL offers an eye palette of five shades delicately connected by an embossed chain design, while LE VERNIS in Intemporel reinterprets the glimmer of the inimitable metal chain.
L’INTEMPOREL DE CHANEL
A striking harmony of five luminous eyeshadows, elegantly embossed to reflect the leather-braided chain of the iconic 2.55 bag. The rich palette features an absolute black to define the eyes, brilliant green and plum shades to enhance, and silver-white and gold tones to highlight.
With such a high price tag of $80, I hope L’Intemporel De Chanel Eyeshadow Palette comes with a free mini Chanel 2.55 bag keychain or something, lol! That would have been awesome, right? I really want to buy this because of how beautiful the design is, but I feel like I would just have it collecting dust. Not because I don’t like the colors, but because I wouldn’t want to ruin the gorgeous design. If I have a lot of money, I would buy 2 of them so I can use one and then leave the other one untouched. 😀
CHANEL LE VERNIS NAIL COLOUR
A glimmering silver shade, inspired by the reflections cast from the metal chain of the iconic 2.55 bag.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.
Now this one I see myself buying. The Chanel Intemporel nail polish is more affordable at just $27. Well, compared to the eyeshadow palette at least. I love this shade because it looks pearlescent, shimmery and metallic, and I see myself wearing it on nights out. It’s also a Limited Edition item, so if I fall in love with it, I will definitely get a backup of it. 😀
The collection had been inspired by the leather-braided chain of the Chanel 2.55 bag. The Chanel 2.55 bag, which is iconic to the House of Chanel, had been created by Gabrielle Chanel back in February 1955.
The leather-braided chain is as classic a design as the quilted pattern. So, it’s really nice to see Chanel using the chain as inspiration instead of the quilted pattern of the bag itself.
United Kingdom – February 2015
United States – March 2015
Singapore – March 2015
International – April 2015
As of posting, the collection is already available at Chanel.com. Both the L’Intemporel de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette and Chanel Intemporel Le Vernis are Limited Edition. So, if you want to get either or both of them, you might want to buy it as soon as it gets available in your country. I’m still not sure if I want to shell out $80 for the eyeshadow palette, although it looks really gorgeous. A great addition to a Chanel addict’s collection, but I’m not sure if I can use it. Because as I’ve said, I might not want to ruin the delicate design pattern. 😉
The Chanel Le Vernis in Intemporel shade, on the other hand, is really calling out to me. So, I might purchase it soon. But I will wait for it to become available at Nordstrom because of the bad shopping and customer service experience I’ve had at Chanel.com. 😀
What do you think about the Les Intemporels De Chanel Collection? If you will just get 1 item, which will it be?
