Dior Addict Fluid Stick in 551 Aventure (Fabulous Wear High Impact Glossy Colour Lip Hybrid) is my second Dior Fluid Stick purchase. My first one was Rieuse (373) (reviewed here) which is a shiny, pinkish coral. While I’ve already re-sold or given away my other Dior Addict lipsticks, I feel like I will be buying more again.
I love lipsticks, but am not really a fan of lipglosses. My first ever lipgloss was MAC Nymphette and it was so sticky that I vowed never to try any more glosses. Then, I was introduced to Chanel Glossimers and found that not all lipglosses were created equal. These luxurious, high-end lipglosses were not that sticky and icky. This opened my heart again to the shiny world of lipglosses.
Dior Aventure is not your ordinary lipgloss where all it imparts on your lips is the glossy shine or shimmer. It has quite a lot of pigment that, if not for the packaging, you would think that it was a liquid lipstick.
The Dior Addict Fluid Stick has an awesome lip formula that combines the benefits of a regular shiny lipgloss and pigmented lipstick into one gorgeous, hybrid product.
What Dior says:
Dior Addict Fluid Stick enables a flawless application in a single sweep: the high-impact colour and long wear of a classic lipstick, combined with the shine of a gloss, all in a thin film that delivers sensational comfort. Colour and shine come together as one for maximum impact with intense, long-wearing lip stain pigments directly encapsulated in spheres of gloss. Dior Addict Fluid Stick does not contain wax, but water for maximum lightness, an immediate fresh effect and addictive comfort.
A pure object of desire : the illusion is maintained until the case is opened and an applicator emerges that is steeped in colour and as precise and easy to use as a lipstick.
16 explosive shades like so many flashes of brilliance. Resolutely Dior, Terribly couture…
Dior Aventure has a creamy texture, is lightweight and just a tiny bit sticky so it doesn’t feel much like wearing a gloss at all. It is a medium, coral red with a lot of shine that will flatter all skintones. Its finish is glossy and shiny like a lipgloss, but it’s very pigmented like a lipstick. For a lipstick/gloss hybrid, it is long-lasting and lasts about 4-5 hours on me, and also leaves a stain after eating and drinking.

The packaging of Dior Fluid Sticks is really cute. It’s classy, yet cool enough for college girls to carry around campus. It’s bigger than your regular lipstick but smaller than most glosses. I love this lipstick/lipgloss cross-breed. Do you? Have you had any bad experiences with other lipgloss brands like I had with MAC Nymphette? Do you think the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are better than the new Chanel Rouge Allure glosses?
