Chanel Tisse Paris Eyeshadow Quad 238 Les 4 Ombres is one of two new quad eyeshadows released in the Chanel Spring 2015 Makeup Collection Reverie Parisienne. The other one, Tisse Fantaisie is listed as a Limited Edition. Tisse Paris, though, is not. It is good news to those who like this quad because they will still be able to purchase it again in the future. Well, that is, unless Chanel decides to discontinue it. I personally don’t like it when my favorite items get discontinued. It’s like, don’t we get a say in this? Maybe they can ask us makeup addicts to vote if we are willing for them to discontinue a certain product. Haha! Just some wishful thinking! 😉
Chanel Spring 2015 Makeup Collection
COLLECTION RÊVERIE PARISIENNE
Beauty blooms with a captivating colour collection inspired by the springtime gardens of Paris. Vibrant corals lend balance to wistful, satiny shades of pink, creating an enchanting spectrum of shades that range from delicate to deep.
Chanel describes Les 4 Ombres:
Eyeshadow redefined. The new LES 4 OMBRES features a vibrant, pigment-rich formula in palettes inspired by threads of Chanel tweed. Each easy-to-wear compact offers endless possibilities, with two medium tones to colour and contour, a deep shadow to intensify and a light shade to highlight.

Chanel Tisse Paris is cool-toned while Tisse Fantaisie is more warm-toned. They are both released in the new eyeshadow formula which should have been better pigmented. However, when I swatched them, it was a little hard to get the color to show up, especially on my lids. I had no problems with the two darker shades. But the lighter shades were less pigmented, especially the light pink. I love that they are buttery soft and smooth.
The lightest shade among the 4 in the Tisse Paris eyeshadow quad is a shimmery, light beige. It’s almost a creamy white with silver micro shimmers. It is super smooth and easy to apply. I like using this shade for highlighting the brow bone. It’s also a great color to use for the inner corner of the eye. For the inner lower lash line, it also looks good. However, if you’re expecting it to be very shimmery once applied, then you’ll be disappointed. It is not overly shimmery, but more frosty and satiny. I also find it to be a little powdery when swatched on my arm. But once applied on my brow bone, it is a very gorgeous, slightly shimmery and satiny light beige. I also had no problems with the color showing up on my eyes.
The next light shade is a slightly cool-toned, light pink with a tinge of rose. It has no shimmers and has more of a satin matte finish. When swatched on my arm, it is less powdery than the lightest shade and even has a slight satin sheen. However, once applied on the lids, it is more matte and powdery. This is my least favorite of all 4 shades in the Tisse Paris quad. I have a hard time making it show up on my eye lids. To be honest, this is the only shade in my quad with a deep dent in it. I dip my applicator really hard in the pan to get the color on. Because I want so badly for the color to show up on my lids. I guess it would need a creamy, light base for the color to really stick and show up.
The third shade is a medium-dark rose that is more warm-toned. It also has no shimmers and has a satin finish. I love this color and is my favorite shade out of all 4 shades in the Chanel Tisse Paris eyeshadow quad. It is very smooth and also very easy to apply. It is very pigmented and has a bit of satin sheen. I love using this shade on the whole lid area and also along the outer bottom lash line. It does tend to set fairly fast, so I have to be really quick if I want to blend it. The color is quite buildable, too.
Chanel Tisse Paris’ darkest shade is a gunmetal dark gray. It has silver micro shimmers but the shimmers are not so evident once applied on the lids. It is very pigmented and the shade so intense that it almost looks black. I have to be careful when working with it if I don’t want my eye makeup to be overly dark. However, it is still smooth and easy to blend. I also love that there are no fallouts with this color. It’s also a great shade to use on just the upper lash line.
Overall, Chanel Tisse Paris is a great eyeshadow quad. They are smooth and there are no fallouts with all 4 colors. All the shades in this eyeshadow quad last a long time. Even on my oily lids, they last for around 8 hours. Probably even more, but I haven’t tested it yet beyond 8 hours.
I want to get both eyeshadows, but they are really expensive! I bought Chanel Tisse Paris Eyeshadow Quad for $61 from Nordstrom. I still want to get Tisse Fantaisie, but I would decide about that later. 😉 If you want to get this quad, it is also available online at Neiman Marcus, Saks and Bloomingdales.
