Chanel Paradisio Nail Polish 645 Le Vernis is one of three Limited Edition nail polishes released as part of the Chanel Spring 2015 Collection Reverie Parisienne. Paradisio is the first nail polish from the Spring collection that I’ve bought. I thought it was a shimmery version of Chanel Jade. I am still planning to get the other two nail polishes, Tenderly and Desirio. Both are also great shades that I want in my collection.

When my package arrived from Nordstrom last week, I immediately swatched Angelique blush. If you’ve read my review on the said blush, then you know how much I love it. πŸ˜‰ The next item that I have opened is Paradisio because I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to try it out, so I removed my nail polish and applied Paradisio.

Chanel Spring 2015 Makeup Collection

Beauty blooms with a captivating colour collection inspired by the springtime gardens of Paris. Vibrant corals lend balance to wistful, satiny shades of pink, creating an enchanting spectrum of shades that range from delicate to deep.

Chanel describes Le Vernis:

Classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies evenly without streaking.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.

Chanel Le Vernis 645 Paradisio Nail Polish

Chanel Paradisio is a shimmery, pearlescent milky green. In the bottle, it looks to be more green. However, once applied, the color is more silvery than green. It has silver micro shimmers which probably adds to that effect. The color is cool and clashes with my warm skintone. I believe it would be a great color to show off tanned hands. πŸ™‚

Chanel Paradisio Nail Polish Swatches

On my nails, Paradisio Le Vernis is a shimmery, almost metallic, silver with just a hint of green. Its consistency is a bit thick. Even though the brush glides smoothly on my nails, it is a bit streaky. I thought that applying 3 coats would lessen the streaky finish, but it didn’t. πŸ™

Chanel Paradisio Nail Polish Swatches

Chanel Paradisio nail polish is semi sheer. One coat is not enough, and I had to apply 3 coats to have a more even and opaque color. Without a top coat, it lasts 4 to 5 days on me before it chips around the edges.

Chanel Paradisio Nail Polish

Chanel Le Vernis Paradisio takes a long time to dry. After 10 minutes, I tried to touch one of my nails and I messed it up. You will notice it in the second nail photo, it’s hard to miss really. πŸ˜€ I thought that it was already dry, but I was wrong. After I took the photos, I applied another coat to cover it. But it felt too thick and heavy on my nails already.

Chanel Paradisio Nail Polish

I would have loved Paradisio if it had a better formulation. Although, I would still use it because it’s such a pretty color.

I bought Chanel Paradisio nail polish for $27 from Nordstrom. It will soon be available locally at Chanel counters in the Philippines for Php 1,250. It is such a beautiful color for spring and unfortunately is a Limited Edition item. So if you want to get it, you might want to buy it while you still can. πŸ™‚ It is also available, as of posting, at Neiman Marcus, Saks and Bloomingdales for $27.

Do you have Chanel Jade? It is so different from Paradisio, right? Do you think it’s better than Chanel Paradisio nail polish? If not, will you be getting Paradisio, too?

  1. Oh Gosh! :O
that nail polish is so expensive . haha. I am only using girl stuff , chic nails or caronia .But the color of that is super nice I LOVE IT .
Try using a Fast-Drying Top Coat so you wont wait that long for your nail polish to dry. πŸ™‚
BTW,I love reading your reviews i discover new makeup products like chanel, didnt know before kasi that chanel has makeups din pla . I thought perfume lang hehe
    More power to you! πŸ˜€

    • Hi Hanna! Yeah, they are expensive. But one bottle lasts for so long. I don’t think I have ever finished a bottle of Chanel nail polish. Ever. πŸ˜‰

I usually use Chanel’s top coat over my nail polishes, but for the purpose of reviewing them I don’t apply a top coat so the true color and finish will be captured. But in this case, my fingerprint was captured as well, lol!

I was like you, years before. What introduced me to Chanel was the Inimitable Mascara. No, actually, it was DiorShow mascara. I went to Rustans to buy a DiorShow mascara, and noticed the Chanel counter next to Dior. I thought to myself, Uh oh, I’d better get out of here or my wallet’s going to be angry at me. I’m proud to say that I made it that day. I left Rustans with just the Dior mascara inside a tiny paper bag. But got curious about Chanel makeup and started searching the web for reviews and everything. So I went back to buy a few items including Inimitable Mascara, then back for more, and more, again and again. Now I’m really addicted. Lol!

I’m really glad that you love reading my reviews. I always appreciate your input, too! πŸ™‚

  2. Hey Alyssa, I have this one as well, but I am not usually big on shades like this! The finish is very metallic, and I suppose the grand majority of metallic shades are just streaky. Out of the three nail polishes in this collection, my favorite is actually Desirio!

    • Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with it, too. The color in the bottle didn’t translate very well on the nails. But that won’t stop me from using it. It still looks really good, and I’m thinking of using it on nights out. πŸ™‚

I’m also getting Desirio and Tenderly as well. I heard that the formula of Desirio is really good. Can’t wait to get my hands on them. πŸ˜€
