Chanel Paradisio Nail Polish 645 Le Vernis is one of three Limited Edition nail polishes released as part of the Chanel Spring 2015 Collection Reverie Parisienne. Paradisio is the first nail polish from the Spring collection that I’ve bought. I thought it was a shimmery version of Chanel Jade. I am still planning to get the other two nail polishes, Tenderly and Desirio. Both are also great shades that I want in my collection.
When my package arrived from Nordstrom last week, I immediately swatched Angelique blush. If you’ve read my review on the said blush, then you know how much I love it. 😉 The next item that I have opened is Paradisio because I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to try it out, so I removed my nail polish and applied Paradisio.
Chanel Spring 2015 Makeup Collection
COLLECTION RÊVERIE PARISIENNE
Beauty blooms with a captivating colour collection inspired by the springtime gardens of Paris. Vibrant corals lend balance to wistful, satiny shades of pink, creating an enchanting spectrum of shades that range from delicate to deep.
Chanel describes Le Vernis:
Classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies evenly without streaking.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.
Chanel Le Vernis 645 Paradisio Nail Polish
Chanel Paradisio is a shimmery, pearlescent milky green. In the bottle, it looks to be more green. However, once applied, the color is more silvery than green. It has silver micro shimmers which probably adds to that effect. The color is cool and clashes with my warm skintone. I believe it would be a great color to show off tanned hands. 🙂
On my nails, Paradisio Le Vernis is a shimmery, almost metallic, silver with just a hint of green. Its consistency is a bit thick. Even though the brush glides smoothly on my nails, it is a bit streaky. I thought that applying 3 coats would lessen the streaky finish, but it didn’t. 🙁
Chanel Paradisio nail polish is semi sheer. One coat is not enough, and I had to apply 3 coats to have a more even and opaque color. Without a top coat, it lasts 4 to 5 days on me before it chips around the edges.
Chanel Le Vernis Paradisio takes a long time to dry. After 10 minutes, I tried to touch one of my nails and I messed it up. You will notice it in the second nail photo, it’s hard to miss really. 😀 I thought that it was already dry, but I was wrong. After I took the photos, I applied another coat to cover it. But it felt too thick and heavy on my nails already.
I would have loved Paradisio if it had a better formulation. Although, I would still use it because it’s such a pretty color.
I bought Chanel Paradisio nail polish for $27 from Nordstrom. It will soon be available locally at Chanel counters in the Philippines for Php 1,250. It is such a beautiful color for spring and unfortunately is a Limited Edition item. So if you want to get it, you might want to buy it while you still can. 🙂 It is also available, as of posting, at Neiman Marcus, Saks and Bloomingdales for $27.
Do you have Chanel Jade? It is so different from Paradisio, right? Do you think it’s better than Chanel Paradisio nail polish? If not, will you be getting Paradisio, too?
