There’s no genie in this bottle, but it will grant three of your wishes: happiness, contentment and love! Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in 623 Mirabella gave me all of these three wishes today. In this gloomy and rainy day when I wanted to go out but couldn’t (I multiply in the rain – as in I go like 3 x 3 = 9 and so on. LOL!), it was my Sun in a bottle.
I had never been a fan of the color orange. I don’t hate it, but it’s not on my list of favorite colors. When I bought Mirabella together with some of the nail polishes from the Reflets D’Ete de Chanel Summer Collection, it was my least favorite. I only bought it because it was a Limited edition, so I chose it over Tutti Frutti which was Permanent. I figured that I can always come back for Tutti Frutti, so I didn’t buy that one, yet, and settled for Mirabella instead.
In the bottle, Mirabella is a boring, medium orange. On my nails, though, it is a bright, almost neon orange with a shiny, cream gel-like finish. It applies really well without streaking, and the consistency was not too thick nor too thin. I did experience one tiny bubble, but I think that was my fault. 😉
Chanel describes it:
Classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies evenly without streaking.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.
Two coats are all I need to achieve this opaque and even color. I love that I don’t have to apply a top coat because it already has a very nice, shiny finish. However, I still used Chanel Beaute des Ongles Protective Base Coat to protect my nails. Mirabella lasts about 5 days before it chips around the edges.
I bought it for Php1, 250 at Chanel in Rustans Makati and it is worth every penny. Although it’s a Limited Edition, it’s still available (as of posting) at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom for $27.
I used my camera’s flash in the photo above so you can see the neon effect of Mirabella.

Love it, I think its perfect for spring. Oh please spring, hurry up! Also, its name reminds me on a beautiful place at the Adriatic sea where I’ve had great time few years ago 🙂
Hi Imenka! I googled Mirabella in Adriatic Sea and it looks like a very beautiful place. Would love to visit it someday too! 🙂
This nail color is perfect for both spring and summer. Wouldn’t it be fun to wear Chanel Mirabella on a hot summer day in Mirabella? 😀
It would be perfect! 🙂 It could happen, maybe even this summer, yaay! 😀
That would really be awesome! 🙂
