Gorgeous. Chic. Sophisticated. These are just some of the words that describe Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in 619 Pink Tonic. I bought it months ago, but I’ve only just used it today. I don’t know why! I should have used it during the summer months especially at the beach because it goes well with a lot of my swimwear. LOL!
Pink Tonic is a medium pink fuschia with a shiny, cream gel-like finish. It applies really well without streaking and I didn’t experience any bubbles at all. Two coats is all I need to achieve this opaque and even color.
Chanel describes it:
Classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies evenly without streaking.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.
It’s already gorgeous on its own, but I still used Chanel Laque Brillance Extreme Shine Nail Lacquer as a top coat. You might not see the difference but here are photos of Pink Tonic with top coat on.
As you can see from the photos, there really isn’t much difference with a top coat on. I’m not sure if it will help prevent chipping… that I have yet to find out. 🙂
Chanel Fracas is lighter, has gold shimmers and is warmer than Pink Tonic. Chanel Tentation also has pink shimmers but is darker than Pink Tonic and is more fuschia than pink.
As always, if you have any questions or experiences with this product, or any feedback, whether good or bad, please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
