I love colors! Same as a lot of people, I have favorites. Next to pink, purple and yellow, I also love blue.
When I was in kindergarten, periwinkle (blue) was my favorite out of the 64 colors in my Crayola box of crayons. My grandfather always had a good laugh whenever he asked me my favorite color, and I would answer “Periwinkle blue!”. I don’t really know why he finds it funny when it’s a valid color, lol!
Anyways, while the blue shades in this collection are far from periwinkle, they’re still blue enough to catch my attention.
This ShopaHAULic Saturday, I want to share with you the stuff that I bought from the Blue Rhythm de Chanel Collection.
BLUE RHYTHM DE CHANEL
Set the tone for the season with the new jazz-inspired makeup.
Inspired by the spirit of jazz, this makeup collection celebrates the boldness of blue. In the spotlight: a new plumping gloss for high-shine lips and daring eye shades to turn up the drama.
I only picked up a few items from the collection because some of them, like the Les 4 Ombres, didn’t call out to me.
This makeup haul is so miniscule that I almost forgot to post about it. Especially since I bought these like two months ago. 😉
GLOSS VOLUME PLUMPING LIPGLOSS
A translucent, high-shine gloss that visibly plumps lips while enhancing their natural colour. The cooling formula features emollient oils to soften and hydrate, and Vitamin E for anti-oxidant protection.
The first item I got was the Gloss Volume Plumping Lipgloss.
To be honest, I don’t really notice any plumping effect when I apply it on my lips. To me, it’s just a clear gloss with a fresh, minty flavor.
It does enhance the lips’ natural color, though. But I prefer using it on top of my favorite nude or light pink lipsticks.
LONGWEAR LUMINOUS EYESHADOW
This intensely shimmering long-wear eyeshadow offers true versatility. An innovative gel texture that is both soft and cushiony allows it to be worn as eyeshadow or eyeliner. Includes a specially designed shadow/liner brush, developed specifically for this unique formula.
Next up is Illusion D’Ombre Longwear Luminous Eyeshadow in 102 Mysterio.
It was a good thing that this was repromoted in this collection because I hadn’t been able to get it when it was first released in the La Perle de Chanel Collection earlier this year.
If you want to read more about it, I have already reviewed it here:
Chanel Illusion D’Ombre New Moon and Mysterio
CHANEL LE VERNIS
Classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies evenly without streaking.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.
A Chanel collection makeup haul wouldn’t be complete without a Le Vernis.
From the Blue Rhythm de Chanel collection, I only bought Le Vernis 665 Vibrato nail polish.
I didn’t bother getting 681 Fortissimo. Why? I’m not really sure. Maybe I’ll get it next time if it’s still available. 🙂
Anyways, I also bought 767 Fraicheur which is not part of this collection. It’s a really lovely shade. A breath of fresh air in this almost gloomy season.
The third Le Vernis I purchased is from the 2013 Fall collection, 591 Alchimie. It’s actually a repurchase because I had given away my first Alchimie. I kind of regret giving it away. So when I saw that it was still available at my local Chanel counter, I didn’t think twice and immediately got it.
As miniscule as this makeup haul is, I’m still very much happy with my purchases.
You can see the rest of the items from the Blue Rhythm de Chanel collection here.
Have a great weekend and remember to always have fun when you go shopping! 😉
