Makeup Mini Haul: Revlon, NYX, China Glaze, Tony Moly and Holika Holika

It’s another ShopaHAULic Saturday which means that it’s time for me to share my good finds and best buys for this week. Last week’s makeup haul from Chanel was a major one because that haul was from 2 collections, Rouge Allure Gloss Collection and Holiday 2014 Collection Plumes Precieuses de Chanel. That being said, my budget for this week was so tight that I could only allow myself to buy from drugstore brands.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain

Although I still haven’t reviewed the first 2 Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains that I’ve bought two weeks ago, I was pretty sure that I would be loving them so I bought 2 more colors: Rio Rush (020) and London Posh (050). They’re priced at PhP625 each and I bought them from The SM Store in Mall of Asia.

China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners

It had been years since I last bought a nail polish from China Glaze that I couldn’t even remember the shades that I used to have. Since it’s fairly cheap at Php350 (The SM Store), I bought the shade Exquisite to try my luck with this brand once again. It looks so pretty in the bottle that I wanted to try it as soon as now. But when I tried to open it, the cap wouldn’t budge. Talk about Hardeners! It’s really HARD to open! Oh well, I’ll just try again in a few weeks. This is definitely last on my list to try now. LOL

NYX Round Lipstick

Everytime I pass by the Makeup Design Academy kiosk in Robinsons Manila, I am always tempted to swatch the NYX Lipsticks on display. This week, I wanted to stay true to my “Low-Buy Project”, so eventhough I swatched several colors, I only bought one: Stella Round Lipstick at Php350. Hurrah!

Mini Haul mini-game: Guess which one Stella is in the swatches above. 😉

Holika Holika

If you know me well, then you already know that my weekly haul wouldn’t be complete without even a single item from any Korean Cosmetics brand. This is the first time though, that I had bought anything from Holika Holika. I wanted to try their Aqua BB cream, but the SA in The SM Store suggested the Naked Face Long-Lasting BB cream to me instead. I got swayed by her really convincing sales talk that I ended up buying the Naked Face BB, priced at Php795 along with the Wonder Drawing 24hr Auto Eyebrow which is just Php195.

Tony Moly

I had finally been able to buy something from Tony Moly, but it’s not a BB nor a CC cream. Because I had already bought a BB cream from Holika Holika, I checked the skin care section of Tony Moly instead. The SA was explaining the benefits of their different facial care products to me, but I was only half-listening to her because the Premium Snail line at the other side of their counter caught my attention. I asked her about that line and she said that they’re fairly new and very effective, but the prices are a bit steep. Because my goal this week is to only buy products not exceeding Php1,000 each, I ended up buying the cheapest from the Premium Snail line I could find: Premium Snail Intense Care Snail Foam Cleanser. It was Php848 at The SM Store for a 150ml tube which will probably last for 2-3 months. Not bad, right?

Makeup Mini Haul: Revlon, NYX, China Glaze, Tony Moly and Holika Holika

I am pretty happy with my mini haul this week and really proud that I was able to stay within my budget. Project Low-Buy: Success! 😀

I wanted to talk about these products now (except for the China Glaze nail lacquer which I still couldn’t open – I kept trying to open it everytime I took a break from typing this post, to no avail) but it would be a very long post if I do that. So, I’ll just review each of them in the coming weeks. If you want me to prioritize one of these products for review, please feel free to leave me a comment below and I’ll see what I can do.

Have you bought any good finds this week? Do you have any products in mind that you want me to review? Whatever product you’re buying, remember to stay fab and savvy!

  1. I just recently bought Tony Moly’s galactomyces toner. SK-II dupe daw. Hoping it would work… 🙂

    • Nooooo! Enabler ka! hahaha I just googled it and mukhang promising nga.

I’ve been wanting to try SK-II for years already but couldn’t justify the sky-high price of the set which I’m not even sure will work on my sensitive skin. So hopefully this one from Tony Moly is much cheaper. 😀

Thanks for the reco! Will check it out too. 🙂

      • Hahahaha! I can say the same thing about you. LOL!

I’ve only used it for a few days and have yet to notice a glow. Though it really made my skin feel smoother. Feel lang, not look.
