It’s not Black Saturday here at AngSavvy.com, rather it’s ShopaHAULic Saturday! Time to share yet another makeup haul from my favorite makeup brands. Easter Sunday is not until tomorrow, but I’ve already finished my egg hunt for this week. Or, should I say makeup hunt? Lol!
The malls in my area were closed the past 2 days, so I already had my shopping fix earlier in the week. Not much products appealed to me, though. So you’ll notice that all the products I bought were lip colors. Only one is a lipgloss, but the rest are all lipsticks.
I guess you can really tell what my favorite makeup is. You’re right, it’s lipstick! Because with a lipstick, you can never go wrong. Well, at least if you use the right shade. But what I meant was that you can apply it anytime, anywhere. Probably not when you’re in a business meeting or something similar. But even if you’re on the go, it’s very easy to quickly add a touch of color to your face using a lipstick.
This week, my haul is from MAC and Korean makeup brand, The Face Shop. First on the list is MAC Viva Glam Miley I lipstick and lipglass. I’m not really a fan of Miley Cyrus, but I really like the shade of her Viva Glam lipstick. 🙂
MAC VIVA GLAM MILEY CYRUS
Wham! Bam! VIVA GLAM! Superstar Miley Cyrus is ready to make noise as this iconic campaign’s 2015 spokesperson. The global pop phenomenon kicks off her VIVA GLAM with two surefire hits: a super-sexy hot pink Lipstick and matching Lipglass with sparkling pearl shimmer. Every cent of the selling price goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
VIVA GLAM MILEY I LIPSTICK
Miley Cyrus’s shade of VIVA GLAM Lipstick. Her super-sexy hot pink hue in M∙A∙C’s iconic Lipstick formula. Every cent of the selling price goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Limited-edition packaging features Miley’s signature.
MAC Viva Glam Miley lipstick is a hot pink color in the Amplified formula. I know that I am very late to the party because this had been released months ago. But it’s better late than never. I had decided to wait until it became available at my local counter, so I had only been able to buy it this week.
VIVA GLAM MILEY I LIPGLASS
Miley Cyrus’s shade of VIVA GLAM Lipglass. Her super-sexy hot pink hue with sparkling pearl shimmer in M∙A∙C’s much-loved Lipglass formula. Wear it alone or with a Lipstick. Every cent of the selling price goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Limited-edition packaging features Miley’s signature.
MAC Viva Glam Miley Lipglass is also a hot pink lipgloss, and it comes with sparkling pearl. I normally wouldn’t buy a lipglass from MAC because I know how sticky they feel on my lips. I’ve been very much happy with my Chanel Rouge Allure glosses which are not sticky on the lips. But because it is the perfect pair to the Viva Glam Miley lipstick, I bought it as well.
Both MAC Viva Glam Miley I lipstick and lipglass costs Php1,000 each and I bought them from MAC in Glorietta 4. I’m also glad that purchasing these Viva Glam products will be for a cause. Makes me less guilty about buying makeup. 😉
MAC PENCILLED IN COLLECTION
Draw decidedly defined lips with new on-trend shades of M∙A∙C’s profoundly pigmented Lip Pencil, now in carbon-copy shades of your favourite lipsticks. The smooth, creamy texture ensures a pristine shape. And to finish off the look, try topping lips with Lipglass in aficionado-approved shades of Ruby Woo, Heroine and Candy Yum-Yum– which are now part of the permanent Lipglass lineup.
Every time I go to a MAC store, I always make it a point to ask the makeup artist if they currently have a stock of the items I’m lemming for, like Impassioned and Ravishing. I’ve always been told that these two lipsticks are not available in my country. So, a couple of months back, I decided to buy it from the US instead. But never did get a chance to do so.
It was a good thing that I hadn’t bought it from the US yet. Because both MAC Ravishing and MAC Impassioned is now available at my local MAC counter. However, I think that it’s only for a limited time because it had only been repromoted in the MAC Pencilled In Collection.
I’m really glad that I had finally been able to buy both lip colors. Even though they came in the same regular packaging, the shades are both really beautiful. Ravishing is a clean light peachy coral with a cremesheen finish while Impassioned is an amped-up fuchsia in the Amplified Creme formula. I bought the lipsticks from MAC in Glorietta 4 for Php1,000 each.
MAC MATTE LIPSTICKS
MAC Ruby Woo had also been repromoted in the MAC Pencilled In Collection. But since this lip color had been available in my local counter even before the collection was released, I am including it in this group instead. Plus, it makes the groupings even, 2 for each. 😉
Ruby Woo is a very matte, vivid blue-red. It is in the Retro Matte formula which is extremely drying for most who have tried it. I have used it a few times already, but I will share my thoughts in my detailed review instead of disclosing it here in my makeup haul post. 😀
MAC Russian Red is an intense bluish-red with a matte finish. I have been wanting to try it years ago, but I had always been afraid to, because I was turned off by its matte formula which I heard was really drying. But now that I’ve been blogging about makeup and beauty, I try so many products which eventually helps me find the best solution to a makeup dilemma.
So, hopefully I’ll be able to make both Ruby Woo and Russian Red last on my lips without them drying my lips out. Both also costs Php1,000 each and I also bought them from MAC in Glorietta 4, Makati.
ASIAN BEAUTY BRAND
THE FACE SHOP OVER GIRL LIP CRAYON
I have been really happy with the first TheFaceShop Over Girl Lip Crayon (RD02) I’ve tried. Although it was not really my first choice, because I had wanted to buy RD01 which is a beautiful red shade. But because it had been out of stock, I bought RD02 instead. But I was pleased that I bought it because it was such a nice color, too.
Anyways, I went back last week to the store to check if they now have RD01 available. Sadly, it was still out of stock. But since I was already there, I bought another shade instead. This time, I got PK03 which is a pink shade. It costs Php495 which is a bit expensive for a 0.6g worth of product. But because the one I’ve tried has a pretty good formula, I have very high hopes for PK03 as well. 😉
Did you know that I bought all of these lip products without even swatching them? So I hope I won’t be disappointed with any of them. I hope they would all exceed my expectations. 😀
Watch out for my full review on each of these makeup products. I’ll try to post them in the coming days, as well as my giveaway for this month. So, keep checking my blog everyday.
