Happy ShopaHAULic Saturday! I want to share with you my mini makeup haul from MAC and K-Palette. I am so addicted to makeup that every time I go to the mall, I couldn’t help but buy 1 makeup item, at the least.
When it comes to MAC, though, it is very seldom that I leave their store with just a single item in my shopping bag.
Their lipsticks, especially, always call out to me. They are just too awesome not to swatch. You know what happens when you swatch a beautiful lipstick, right? Yes, you end up buying it! Even though you still have a lot of lipsticks in your collection. 😀
MINI MAKEUP HAUL
My mini makeup haul for this week is from MAC and Japanese makeup brand, K-Palette. The item I bought from K-Palette is a necessity, so there’s no guilt there whatsoever. It’s a different story with MAC, though. All the items I bought were lipsticks, and I’ve already got a lot of lipsticks in my collection. But since they are gorgeous shades, I just can’t bear not to buy them. 🙂
First on the list is MAC Girl About Town. It’s a bright blue fuchsia with an Amplified Creme finish. I have always been pushing this shade at the bottom of my list because I didn’t know if it would look good on me. But now that I’m more open to trying different lip colors, I decided to finally buy it.
Next is another one of their bestselling lipsticks, MAC Lady Danger. It’s a vivid, bright coral red in their famous Matte formula. I have tried this years ago, but back then I didn’t like bright lipsticks yet. And I have seen how bright it was on my lips.
Another reason for buying it now? It’s summertime! Everyone wears bright lipsticks during summer, right? So I feel like I would be wearing this shade a lot this season.
I bought the third shade on impulse. Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I know, it’s the only MAC lipstick with the word “MAC” included in the shade. MAC RED is a vivid, bright bluish red with a satin finish. On my lips, satin lipsticks appear almost the same as matte ones (especially if I blot it), but they are usually less drying. That is, compared to matte lipsticks that suck the moisture from my lips. Not all matte lipsticks I’ve tried are drying, though. Anyways, I’m also glad that I bought this lip color.
The next shade I bought, MAC Relentlessly Red, is described as a bright, pinkish coral matte. I’m a bit scared because it is a Retro Matte lipstick, so it might be drying on my lips. The Retro Matte formula is extremely drying for most women who have tried it. But I’m a little hopeful, especially after having already tried MAC Ruby Woo, which has the same formula. Ruby Woo is not drying on my lips, so I’m hoping that Relentlessly Red would be the same. 🙂
I bought all these lipsticks for Php1,000 each from the MAC store in Mall of Asia. They are also available at Nordstrom, if you live outside the Philippines.
ASIAN BEAUTY BRAND
K-PALETTE ZERO KUMA COVER CONTROL CONCEALER
02 YELLOW BEIGE
Guilt-free shopping! Hurrah! Because I’ve already used up every little bit of my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, I needed to buy a new concealer.
I have heard so many good feedback about the K-Palette Zero Kuma Concealer that I wanted to try it myself. Plus, it costs around half the price of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.
K-Palette concealer promises to cover effectively, so a little goes a long way. It has beauty essences: Vitamin C, chamomilla Recutita and Prune Extract. These are said to help brighten the delicate under eye skin. It can also be used as an eyelid primer.
I believe that this will be another Holy Grail makeup product for me. It only costs Php795 for a 13g tube, which I believe will last for months, if not more than a year. I bought it from the Beauty Bar in Robinsons Manila, but for those outside the Philippines, it’s also available here.
Do you also love shopping? Are you also a shopaholic like me? Have you read the bestselling book, Confessions of a Shopaholic, already? You should, if you haven’t yet. Or if you’ve already read it, try to reread it again this weekend. Reading books is way better than just watching movies. Although it’s more time-consuming, it makes us smarter in a way. 😀
Anyways, I’ll try to review these products soon. I’m so excited to share my thoughts about them, but more excited to keep trying them on. Lol!
What lipsticks have you bought recently in your latest makeup haul? Don’t be afraid of bright lip colors, they’re so beautiful! 😉
