Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss 12 Exotique (Colour and Shine Lipgloss in One Click) had been released as part of the Rouge Allure Gloss Collection. It had only recently been made available in Manila, along with the other latest Chanel collections. In the last month, I’ve been calling the store and asking them if the new Rouge Allure Glosses are already available, but they couldn’t understand me because they are not yet aware of this new collection and they thought I was referring to the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss. It was only yesterday when I talked to my favorite Chanel SA that I found out that the collection had arrived Saturday night. So I dropped all my plans and immediately went to Rustans Makati.
When I arrived at the Chanel counter in Rustans, it was like walking in heaven. The first display counter I saw was the Holiday Collection, and I was quickly drawn into swatching them. But I will tell you about that later, since this post is about the Rouge Allure Gloss collection, specifically the shade Exotique.
ROUGE ALLURE GLOSS COLLECTION
COLOUR AND SHINE LIPGLOSS IN ONE CLICK
The colour intensity of a lipstick. The lacquered shine of a lipgloss. In one seductive click, ROUGE ALLURE GLOSS delivers dramatic, long-wearing coverage with hydrating comfort. Add to the allure with complementary shades of ROUGE ALLURE Luminous Intense Lip Colour and LE VERNIS Nail Colour.
Rouge Allure Gloss in 12 Exotique is described as a bright coral. It is super creamy and smooth and applies evenly. Exotique is pigmented for a gloss, and it reminds me of Dior Addict Fluid Sticks although the Fluid Sticks I’ve tried, Rieuse and Aventure, are much more pigmented than this.
The texture is creamy and glossy, yet is not sticky. I don’t like sticky lipglosses especially on a windy day when my hair gets blown everywhere and they stick to my lips if I’m wearing a sticky lipgloss. LOL! Exotique feels very light on the lips, like I’m just wearing a liquid lipstick, but the finish is shiny and glossy!
Another plus for me is that Exotique is ultra-hydrating and moisturizing. I can wear it all day and my lips will not wither and dry. 😉 It only lasts about 3-4 hours on me, but that’s understandable given that it’s a gloss. After eating and drinking, I usually dab my lips with a table napkin, so I really have to reapply it. But who will complain reapplying such a luxurious lipgloss, especially in public, right? 😀
Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss in Exotique is happy and sunny, young and fresh. I hope I still haven’t used it all up when summer comes because it’s a really great color for summer. This will work best on tanned skin, but since it’s Chanel, who cares? I will wear it even when I’m not tanned, I’ll wear it even on a rainy day, at home, I’ll even wear it when I go to bed! LOL! The last part is a joke. We should always remove our makeup before going to bed. 🙂

I love the one click packaging as much as I love the case of Extrait de Gloss, they are both classy and elegant, but the new Rouge Allure Gloss is a little bit lighter so it’s a plus for me – I hate carrying heavy stuff in my bag. 😉 It also has the same doe-foot applicator which dispenses the right amount of gloss enough for one application.
I love everything about Exotique, and I can’t wait to try the other shades I bought as well. Have you tried these new glosses from Chanel too? How do you like them? Do you think they’re better than the Extrait de Gloss? What are your thoughts on Chanel Exotique Rouge Allure Gloss?
