Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in 541 Tentation had been released in the Roses Ultimes de Chanel Collection 2 years ago. I was on a “Project Low-Buy” that time, so the only item I was able to buy was the Jalousie Glossimer. It was only this summer that I had laid my eyes on Tentation when I dropped by the Chanel counter in Makati, and wondered why I didn’t buy it together with Jalousie. It would have been great to have paired Tentation nail polish with the Jalousie Glossimer.
Chanel describes it:
Classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies evenly without streaking.
All Chanel nail products are formaldehyde-free, toluene-free and DBP-free.
Tentation is classified as an intense fuschia. It is a reddish fuschia with pink and purple shimmers and a shiny finish. Application is fairly easy as Tentation applies really well without streaking. One coat is quite opaque already, but with just one coat, it is a bit uneven and will fade easily. To achieve an opaque and even color, it’s best to apply 2 coats. I also didn’t experience any bubbles with Tentation and the time it dries is fast enough.
A top coat like Chanel Laque Brillance Extreme Shine Nail Lacquer is not necessary because Tentation is already gorgeous and shiny on its own. What I used underneath Tentation is Chanel Beaute des Ongles Protective Base Coat for added protection to my nails.
As you can see from the above photos, Tentation is a really gorgeous fuschia and the shimmers can still be seen in the nails which translates into shining, shimmering splendidness. Tentation is French for temptation or seduction, and Chanel Le Vernis in Tentation is Pure Seduction! 😉
Chanel Fracas is warmer, has gold shimmers and is lighter than Tentation. Chanel Pink Tonic has no shimmers and is also lighter than Tentation, and is more pink than fuschia.
Have you tried the Tentation nail polish? Did you like it or was it too much for you?
Stay fab and savvy! ✌
