Happy ShopaHAULic Saturday! Today, I’m sharing with you this new mini collection from Chanel, La Perle de Chanel Collection. Instead of sharing with you my recent makeup haul, I’m sharing this great collection that I’m currently lemming for. Most of the products in this collection are Limited Edition items, but a few are repromotes.
Unlike the Chanel Spring 2015 Collection Reverie Parisienne where there were several new lipsticks released, this collection features only 1 new Rouge Allure lipstick. The other two new lip products are both Aqualumiere lipglosses, and the collection also repromoted Rouge Coco Baume which is one of my favorite hydrating lip balms.
The star item of the collection is a lip palette, the Harmonie Levres Lip Palette.
COLLECTION LA PERLE DE CHANEL
Inspired by the graceful world of ballet, this delicate makeup collection features rosy tones and glimmering metallics in beautiful balance. Taking center stage: a limited-edition five-shade palette featuring romantic lipsticks and glosses to choreograph a colourful lip look.
Harmonie Levres Lip Palette – Limited Edition
Inspired by the ethereal world of ballet, the versatile ‘Arabesque’ palette features five rosy-toned shades for multiple effects. Three vibrant lipsticks and two shimmering glosses can be worn alone or layered. Presented with a custom mini lip brush for application on the go. From COLLECTION LA PERLE DE CHANEL.
I still have my Rouge Artist palette from Make Up For Ever that I rarely ever use. As tempting as this palette looks, I think I’m going to pass up on it because I don’t want to waste money on an item that will just be collecting dust. But if you are one who likes using lip palettes, then you might want to check this one out. There are 3 lipsticks and 2 lipglosses in this palette, and it also comes with a custom mini lip brush.
250 Crescendo – Limited Edition
This powder blush, available in a variety of limited-edition shades, offers seamless colour in a silky, delicate texture. Buildable coverage allows for tailored effects, from natural to dramatic, and imparts a radiant glow, beautifully suited to the season. Applied high on the cheekbones or near to the eyes, it instantly “lifts” and softens the face for a more youthful look.
I feel that Chanel Crescendo Joues Contraste blush will be loved mostly by those with fair to light-medium skintones because it looks to be a really light pink blush. Definitely not as light as Chanel Narcisse, but still is quite light. There seem to be very subtle shimmers in it which I feel will translate into a satin finish that will give the cheeks a beautiful, healthy glow. Now this one, I really must have! 😀
LES 4 OMBRES
MULTI-EFFECT QUADRA EYESHADOW
248 Tisse Rhapsodie – Limited Edition
204 Tisse Vendome – Repromote
Eyeshadow redefined. The new LES 4 OMBRES features a vibrant, pigment-rich formula in palettes inspired by threads of Chanel tweed. Each easy-to-wear compact offers endless possibilities, with two medium tones to colour and contour, a deep shadow to intensify and a light shade to highlight.
I think I’m going to pass on the new eyeshadow palette, Tisse Rhapsodie. The shades in the quad are a cool-toned, frosty pink, a cream beige, a shimmery purple and a medium khaki brown with gold micro shimmers. The other shade, Tisse Vendome, is just a repromote.
LONG WEAR LUMINOUS EYESHADOW
This intensely shimmering long-wear eyeshadow offers true versatility. An innovative gel texture that is both soft and cushiony allows it to be worn as eyeshadow or eyeliner. Includes a specially designed shadow/liner brush, developed specifically for this unique formula.
Gosh! Don’t tempt me with this one! Chanel Mysterio Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadow is another item from this collection that I really want to have. I love how it’s a very shimmery and metallic silver that will look good when used as a highlight to the eyes. It’s a good thing that it’s not listed as a Limited Edition item, so I still have a lot of time to buy it. 😉
INTENSE LONG-WEAR LIP COLOUR
The next generation of ROUGE ALLURE dresses lips with unmistakable attitude. A new formula with concentrated, ultra-thin pigments offers radically intense, long-wearing colour with full coverage and a satin finish. Leaves lips supple and protected with lasting comfort.
Chanel Virevoltante Rouge Allure looks to be a shimmery, medium rose pink. I might get this shade for the sole reason that it’s the only lipstick released in the collection. At least one that is in the traditional bullet form. I just hope that it won’t be drying on the lips because it has a lot of silver micro shimmers in it which usually sucks the moisture from my lips.
HIGH SHINE SHEER CONCENTRATE
This gleaming gloss takes a playful turn on lips, delivering sheer colour, high shine and comfort. The supple, precise artistry brush defines lips with ease. From COLLECTION LA PERLE DE CHANEL.
I am not a fan of these 2 Aqualumiere lipglosses simply because they seem to be too sheer for my taste. Tutu is a really sheer light pink with subtle shimmers and Corset is a slightly cool-toned, medium pink with lots of beautiful micro shimmers. However, I feel like I can easily find a dupe for both shades so I’m skipping them both.
Besides, I have been, and still am, very happy with my Chanel Rouge Allure glosses which are very pigmented for a lipgloss. My current favorite out of all my Rouge Allure glosses is Pirate.
STYLO YEUX WATERPROOF
916 Perle De Lune
Waterproof, smudge-proof eyeliner delivers long-lasting definition with a twist of the wrist: Colour winds up when you need it, winds down when you don’t. Gentle, soft, silicone-enriched formula delivers smooth, even lining. A built-in sharpener at the opposite end detaches for quick refreshes.
Chanel had been releasing awesome eyeliners lately, the last one being Ardoise. I think Perle De Lune Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner will be another great addition to my eyeliner collection. It looks to be a shimmery gray with lots of silver micro shimmers that sparkle beautifully when they catch the light. It would be a great color for the lower lashline for that glamorous brightening effect that I always want.
MASCARA MULTI-DIMENSIONNEL SOPHISTIQUÉ
This technologically advanced formula builds on the success of the original mascara, delivering dramatic effects with a unique brush. The result is a more intense lash look, with the same easy application. Lashes appear longer, thicker and more curled, yet each lash, even the finest, is still precisely separated – without clumping, spiking or flaking.
The Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara is one of my favorite mascaras. But since they released a waterproof version of Le Volume de Chanel mascara, I want to try that out first before I repurchase this one.
ROUGE COCO BAUME
HYDRATING CONDITIONING LIP BALM
Rouge Coco Baume (0.1 oz)
A moisture-rich lip balm with an advanced Hydratendre Complex, this formula hydrates and softens lips, for a healthier and fuller appearance. Its sheer, lustrous texture glides on smoothly with a sumptuous, high-gloss finish.
The Chanel Rouge Coco Baume is one of my favorite moisturizing lip balms. When I first bought it, I didn’t immediately like it. Then I found the trick to using it, and was hooked. I used to apply it before putting on lip color. When used this way, it doesn’t really do anything to my lips. Instead, it seems like it almost dries up my lips faster than when I hadn’t applied any lip balm. But after a bit of failed trials, what I did was apply it before putting on any makeup and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes on my lips. Then, by the time I have to apply my lipstick, it transforms my lips into super smooth and plumped lips. If I will be wearing a matte lipstick, what I do is blot the excess lip balm then apply MAC Prep+Prime Lip before applying the lip color.
As of posting, this collection is only available at Chanel.com. I’m hoping that it will soon be available at local counters and other online stores like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. I would love to have the Joues Contraste blush in Crescendo, Mysterio Illusion d’Ombre, Virevoltante Rouge Allure and the Perle De Lune Stylo eyeliner. I feel like I’ll just be wasting money on the lip palette because I prefer using a lipstick in bullet form as opposed to lip colors from a palette. But this is just my personal preference. If you want to buy the lip palette because you’re used to using a lip brush to apply your lipstick, then you might want to add this lip palette to your addition.
Am I buying from this collection soon? I don’t think so. I will wait until it becomes available at either Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. I’d rather wait than to have to experience bad customer service at Chanel.com again. I really hope that they would improve on their customer service because at times like these, I am itching to order items from the collection. Like I said before, I love the Chanel brand but am just annoyed with the bad customer service of their website. 😉
Have you already bought anything from this collection? If not, which of the products from the Chanel La Perle de Chanel Collection are calling out to you?
